Shendong Coal’s first variable-frequency integrated pump station completed trial operation successfully at the 22203 longwall mining face of Bulianta Coal Mine. It marked a new breakthrough for Shendong Coal in coal mine equipment matching, providing a brand-new solution for efficient coal mine production.

As an innovative equipment matching scheme pioneered by Shendong Coal, the pump station adopted a variable-frequency integrated machine to replace the traditional split combination mode of “variable-frequency switch + variable-frequency motor”. The equipment commissioning process imposed extremely high requirements on structural strength and sealing performance. Faced with strong vibration, heavy load and complex geological conditions underground, the technical personnel of the mine repeatedly optimized the multi-support crankshaft of the power end and the built-in herringbone gear transmission structure. They enhanced the crankshaft strength and the stability of transmission torque, and accurately adjusted the parameters of the variable-frequency speed regulation integrated machine. By this way, they gave full play to its advantages including strong overload capacity and low heat generation, ensuring efficient and stable operation. Meanwhile, the hydraulic end (pump head) components adopted a split modular design. Maintenance work did not require the disassembly of the pump head, making maintenance much more convenient.

The successful trial operation of this first variable-frequency integrated pump station not only improved the operational efficiency of the pump station and reduced maintenance costs, but also effectively extended the service life of the equipment and reduced reliance on external spare parts. It injected new strong impetus into Shendong Coal’s continuous advancement of the Intelligent Mine, Green Mining strategy.
