On December 3, the 2025 Artificial Intelligence Industry Conference and the “AI Pioneer Cup” “AI+” Application and Skills Competition concluded successfully in Beijing. The competition attracted over 2,000 teams competing across 20 thematic tracks, including AI+Energy and AI+Transportation. Material Company’s project, the Digital Intelligent Platform for Energy Supply Chains Based on AI Large Model, excelled in the AI+Energy track, winning the first prize and clinching the competition’s top national honor—the AI Pioneer Starlight Gold Award.

The project represents Material Company’s intelligent end-to-end solution, establishing China’s first self-developed proprietary large model for the energy sector. It introduces an innovative “1+2+N” Sunflower Architecture, integrating core technologies like domain-adaptive pre-training, multi-task fine-tuning, and retrieval-augmented generation. The platform enables deep applications spanning over 30 scenarios, including intelligent procurement, risk prevention, and compliance review. Successfully deployed across multiple business units, it has generated significant economic benefits, earned several national honors, and provided a replicable model and practical sample for the digital transformation of state-owned enterprises.

Additionally, Material Company won a second prize in the AI Security track and a third prize in the AI+Energy track at this competition. Its Intelligent Governance Project was also selected as a 2025 Intelligent Innovative Application Case, showcasing the Company’s strong expertise and comprehensive capabilities in AI applications.

This competition was hosted by the Internet Society of China and organized by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, with the theme of Intelligence Empowers All Industries, Technology Unleashes Infinite Potential. It aimed to implement the national AI+ initiative by promoting learning, attracting talent, and advancing industry through competition. A concurrent forum under the theme of Jointly Opening a New Era of Intelligent Innovation and Application brought together government, industry, academia and research institutions to explore cutting-edge trends and ecosystem development in intelligent technology, injecting new momentum into industrial innovation.
