Recently, according to the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Baotou Chemical was awarded the title of “Water-Conserving Enterprise” at autonomous-region level, affirming the Company’s water-conserving efforts with authoritative recognition, highlighting its exemplary leadership in green and low-carbon development, and marking an important milestone in green development and sustainable water management.

The Company has fully implemented a “three-level water-conserving management & control system”, dividing water-saving goals into detailed tasks across all production processes for precise management and full-cycle control. By constructing a high-salinity wastewater separation and crystallization device, the Company has increased water reuse efficiency to 98.77%, saving 2.71 million tonnes of water annually, achieving a breakthrough in “zero discharge” of coal chemical wastewater and significantly reducing the consumption of fresh water resources. In addition, the Company has innovatively developed “cascade utilization of ash water” to recycle high-temperature ash water from gasification cooling towers and water washing towers and strictly managed running, bubbling, dripping, and leaking defects of the steam and water system, leveraging condensate recovery pipelines to annually reclaim 4.9 million tonnes of high-quality condensate, improving water resource utilization, as well as supporting sustainable development.
